Mokami Players, Happy Valley·Goose Bay

Formed in 1974, the Mokami Players theatre group has become a fixture on the theatrical landscape of the province.

The group's origins arose from the musical interests of Tim Borlase and Edmund McClean when when both men parlayed that interest into a 1974 production of Jesus Christ Superstar and Aquarius. One year later the group really came into being with the production of The Ecstacy of Rita Jo by George Ryga and three years later the group won it first of many drama festival awards.
